National Night Out 2012

On the evening of October 2, the City of La Porte celebrated National Night Out 2012!

And we did it right with community block parties and a big celebration at the police station on Spencer, with food and fun for everyone. Our LPPOA was VERY popular as we cooked the food... 500+ hotdogs for all the kids, parents and other guests, who also enjoyed free drinks, cake and other treats and fun activities.

Blue Santa Comes to La Porte!

Christmas 2012 will be a special time this year. Our La Porte Police Officers Assn. will team up with the La Porte Citizens Police Academy Alumni Assn. for a BLUE SANTA program. We will be working to collect new, unwrapped toys to bring Christmas joy to children who may otherwise not have a visit from Santa.

However, no need will go unmet and we will fulfill many Christmas prayers for food, clothing and other necessities. Throughout the year we accept monetary donations. These funds are earmarked for Blue Santa and used during the Christmas season.

We have a donation account established, and will soon have an online donation portal. We offer tax-deductible status for all donations. If you would like to donate items or help with the program, please contact any LPPOA board member.
